KEYS ON THE KEYBOARD ARE NOT IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER, WHY ???

CHECKOUT WHY KEYBOARD IS NO ARRANGED IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER

We use keyboard in our daily lives it may be our desktop or laptop or smartphone. Sometimes we wonder why the keys are not arranged in alphabetical order.

The reason goes back upto the manual typewriters those people had arranged in alphabetical order, However it was discovered that the mechanical character keys easily jumped off in this arrangement

To prevent this problem these were in random manner the frequently used keys are arranged under the weak fingers this lead to the formation of QWERTY keyboard which we are using now a days.

The QWERTY keyboard layout was discovered in 1860's by the creator of first modern typewriter CRISTOPHER SHOLES who was a newspaper editor lived in MILWAUKEE. Originally the characters on typewriters he invented were arranged in the alphabetical order on set on end of the metallic bar which strucked to the paper when used (pressed). however an operator learned to type at speed, The bars attached to the letter that lay close together on the keyboard entangled with eachother compelling the typist to manually unsticke the type bars and also regularly blotting the documents. A Business associate of sholace JAMES DENSMORE, Suggested that scripting the keys for letters commonly  used together.

There are varied opinions on this rearrangement of letters in the keyboard based on the letters usage in english rather than the positioning of the letter in the alphabet is the logic of the QWERTY layout.
However QWERTY is designed to slow down typing speed to further reduce jamming. it is also using key from the top row of the keyboard. This random arrangement eventually became standerd in computers later followed by the devices made after that.
